Update: shot 04_08 complete

I finished animating shot 04_08 and almost done with the sound for this shot. It's a very nice shot which rendered very quickly (thank goodness!) and features a voice-over cameo by my mom. ;-) This is one of the final shots in the movie chronologically and I think it came out great. Anyway, here's a render:



Nice, huh? LOL. Note the old broken tank in the foreground. This was modeled by the multi-talented Aaron Smith aka Chikan. Thanks a lot for the model, Aaron! :-D

I love the detail that's in this shot. The apartments on the purple wall to the right of the shot, the tank that Chikan modeled; also note the glowing white lines in the "trash bin" that the tank is sitting in...(in MAGI-rendered shots from the original TRON movie, you can see that they added white outlines to objects when they were covered in shadow).

Anyway, it's a great shot and I'm going to give it to Jimi (aka NoExcuses) later today, so he can edit it into the movie.
